Mt. Talamitam: My Mother Mountain

Image
Sitting at the top of Mt. Talamitam last Feb. 2016 It was February this year when I finally said "yes" to my friend Toni's invitation to hike a mountain. After several invitations that I declined in the past, she was able to lure me in (and it's something that I did not regret!) I was actually scared as it is my first time to climb a mountain. Thoughts like "What will I do?", "Can I do it?", you know the usual "what if's" that you can think of when doing something you never did before. But all of these were gone when I started my journey with the mountains and then fell in love with it. :) With my friend, Toni. :) Mt. Talamitam is my "Mother Mountain". This is the term that mountaineers use to acknowledge the first mountain that they have climbed and reached the summit. Honestly, I joined the climb out or curiosity, to understand the enthusiasm that my other mountaineer friends have in climbing mount

I'm not Kikay.

Yup! It's me and I am back! ;) This is just a sudden feeling of putting up a blog post today. Forgive me for not updating this for so long. Anyhoo, I was just checking youtube for some video tutorials on how to fix eyebrows. Well, let me say this, I actually have a huge frustration with my eyebrow. I don't know how to trim it so I always go to a waxing salon to fix it. Right now, I am thinking of going to a tattoo shop to put a permanent eyebrow. Haha! Just kidding.  So when I was watching this video, I forgot to subscribe on the channel by the way, sucks!  she asked me (coz I'm the only one watching it) for the things I use for eyebrow, lips, eyes, etc., in short what's with my kit? Since I don't consider myself as Kikay, I just call it a kit. :) Here's what I found.  EYEBROWS: I use FAB Eyebrow Powder Duo in Natural Brown. It's my first time to use this so I am still learning how to blend it with my eyebrow. It's not that expen

It's Been A Year Since the Last...

I have a lot to say.. But I don't know where to start... --------------------------

HELLO!

Hello... again! I'm back! I know that I have been on hiatus since the start of the year and I have tons of things to tell you. So many things have happened for the last 7 months and it was a totally crazy and a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Anyways, let me start by saying this.. I won't be neglecting this blog anymore. I dunno. I admit my writings are now kinda old and rusty as well as my photography skills. I think I need an inspiration to do the old stuff again. I need to get out there and be more adventurous instead of being boxed inside an office. But the big question is, where and when to start? (I terribly need a therapist right now!) I feel like I'm no longer productive. My life has become so monotonous and I hate myself for it. :( My days are very routinary. WORK-HOME-WORK-HOME. I can no longer squeeze in my social life. Even seeing my other friends is not possible.. it is because of the travel time. I live in Laguna now and my schedule is ver tight not to m

A writer once wrote, "Sometimes in order to get found, you first have to get lost." and I'm so glad that for the past year, I found peace, happiness and love from these people who made my 2013 a lot more better. I am so blessed to have my fa mily and friends as my strength and inspiration to be a better person. Thank you for understanding my shortcomings, craziness and ever-changing moods!   Let's continue this journey through 2014! Happy New Year!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM MY FAMILY TO YOURS! :)

2013 Baguio: Up Up and Away

Image
I almost forgot that I went to Baguio last year. In my 25 years of existence, it was my first time there. Yeah, my freaking first time! I was like a kid when we reached the place. I see the fog and I feel the cold. I was actually impressed on the bus driver of Victory Liner, they drive so smoothly and so perfectly despite the curves and zigzag going to Baguio.  Anyway I was there because of my friend and mare Lilac. It's actually a combination of work and pleasure. We stayed at the The Manor in Camp John Hay.  Going to Baguio will never be complete without visiting the Strawberry Farm. :) We also had a taste of the famous Strawberry Taho! :) We also went around the City and dig in some yummy food.  Overlooking the city from SM Baguio. Didn't have the chance to have a picture with this dog.  At Mine's View. Baguio City Hall Bagu
