50 Shades of Grey
THE BOOK
Alright, I read it.
I did not hate it actually and by the time that you're reading this, I'm
already at the 2nd book of E.L James' 50 Shades trilogy. For a lady like me, it felt so overwhelming
to read the 1st book. I praise the author for her imagination and on
how she made the book a page turner despite of the erotic words and sex scenes
she used in the story.
At first, I was like intimidated
by the plot of the story. When I was at the middle of it, I asked myself if I
should continue reading this erotic novel. Honestly it makes me come as well.
(Sorry for being too frank about my feelings!) I am already a grown up and I
should be accustomed to stories like this. It’s part of humanity and reality. I
even twitted if Christian Grey, the Dominant, really does exist. Is there
really someone like him out there? Someone so sexy, hot, Greek-God-like type of
man?! The novel is not just about SEX and F*CK, but it teach us to explore
things unimaginable. Don't get me wrong it's a great insight into the life of a Dom-Sub
relationship and at times I felt slightly embarrassed reading, but it's the story behind that which is most
captivating. The love, the neglect, the hunger, the desire. Not only has this
book extended the minds of most women who read it, but it has given me like
others more confidence, more love and more drive.
So last week I succumbed
to the hype that is the 50 Shades ofGrey Trilogy. I am a huge reader but I have never been one for erotic
friction or 'mummy porn' as some are calling it, but after the first chapter I
was hooked. A week after purchasing the first book, I can’t wait to finish the
2nd one and confident I will finish it before the weekend comes.
'Romantic, liberating and totally
addictive. This is a novel that will obsess you, possess you and stay with
you forever' - truer words have never been spoken.
The MOVIE
So I heard that they will bring the books into the big screen. I was intrigued on who will play the infamous Christian Grey. I was actually rooting for Ryan Gosling but rumors that it will be Ian Somerhalder a.k.a Damon Salvatore of Vampire Diaries.
What makes Ian be the perfect guy for the role? Here are the 5 reasons why! Source: http://www.buzzsugar.com
- He's got a swoon-worthy smolder. Anastasia is constantly talking about how beautiful Christian is, from his crooked smile to his perfect bod. Somerhalder's got prettiness in spades, but he also knows how to play it mysterious. If you need more convincing, check out his sexiest smolders.
- He's not afraid to show skin on the screen. Before Somerhalder hit it big on The Vampire Diaries, he was stripping down regularly for the HBO show Tell Me You Love Me. Though the series only lasted 10 episodes, it generated buzz for pushing the envelope with its racy sex scenes — an element you can bet we'll see in the big-screen version of Fifty Shades.
- There's a vampire connection. Fifty Shades started out as Twilight fan fiction, in that Christian and Anastasia are loosely based on Bella and Edward's personalities in Stephenie Meyer's saga. Though Damon is a far cry from Edward, they're both hot vampires lusting after good girls.
- Christian and Damon have a lot in common. Christian's basically the complex bad boy with a softer side, and the same can be said for Damon Salvatore. Somerhalder has mastered the art of playing hot and cold, and can also go from playful to mistrusting with a mere glance, which is exactly how quickly Christian's moods swing in the novel.
- He's not too mainstream. Somerhalder has die-hard fans as far as the eye can see, but he's not quite a major movie star, which makes him a wise choice for the role. Going with a household name like Ryan Gosling could be distracting to the audience, but Somerhalder is still a bit under the radar.
FUNNY STUFF
I also found some pictures and stuff online about 50 Shades of Grey. Even Selena Gomez got hooked on it as well. Does Justin know about that? :)
Ladies, if you haven't read these yet I highly recommend you do - you
won't regret it. And please, let me know your thoughts if you have read them in
