El Nido: A Paradise Part 2
Welcome to our second day of Island tour in the beautiful place of El Nido in the heart of Palawan. :)
We stayed there for 4D/3N but still those days were not enough to explore all the islands of El Nido. Maybe next time will book for 5 days. Our guide and boat operator at the first day told us that El Nido alone has 150 islands. I'm still verifying that information as of this writing.
An escape to paradise. :) I can say that this trip is the highlight of my 2013. Indeed it's MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!!! :) The travel time is so worth it. We visited several islands/beaches that El Nido is very proud of. During our stay, we were able to visit these breathtaking sceneries. In our first tour we visited the Small and Big Lagoon, Shimizu Beach where we had our lunch, Secret lagoon and the 7 Commando Beach.
On our second day of island tour, we came to see the Cathedral Cave, Matinloc Shrine, Helicopter Island, Snake Island, Cudugnon Cave, Secret beach and Pangulasian Island. :)
First Stop is the Helicopter Island.
Like a Boss! |
This is why the island was named HELICOPTER ISLAND. Make sense, right? |
Next Stop is the Matinloc Shrine/Island.
This is the Matinloc Shrine. |
Third Stop is the Secret Beach.
This is how you enter the SECRET BEACH. |
This part of the Island Tour is my favorite!!! See that hole there? You have to swim through it to enter the secret beach inside. Be careful of the rocks!!! That day, it was high tide so its very hard to swim through it. Thank God, our guide was an excellent swimmer. I actually envy those foreigners who are very good swimmer. They don't need life vest at all!
4th Stop is the Snake Island.
Got sunburned! |
Our lunch!! Made by our guide. DIG IN! ;) |
5th Stop is the Cudugnon Cave.
They said that it has been used as a grave of the first people who lives in the island. I found the rock formation amazing!!!
This is where you enter the cave. |
This is how you enter! |
6th Stop is the Cathedral Cave.
It was named Cathedral Cave because of the rock formation that gives out images of Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ.
The Final Stop is the Pangulasian Island.
Looks like a dinosaur for me! |
And there you have it! We have lots of amazing pictures so its hard what to and not to post. :)
After this wonderful experience, we had dinner along the street where there was a "Dampa" like going on.
We had clams and lobsters!!! :) Very affordable! We even got a free 1 lobster and the clams is for 10 pesos each! :) |
